Qawl al chistiyah

It was the night of Saturday in the month of ramadhan as I was returning with him from a gathering .As I was sitting around with him.My mind was wondering about why Salah was given to us and why would be held so important by great personalities this world has ever seen.If jannah is going to be bestowed to us then why is Salah so important.

The conversation drifted from goat's sacrifice to salah and he started explaining it in detail. We thank a person who does good for us plenty of times if he does good to you.If you find that person you will again be happy and say thankfulness to him.But what about the one who has created you and bestowed you for all your life. Why should not be an in-indebtedness towards the creator and the one who has bestowed you.Only for the reason that you don't see him you forget about him.But the creator is hidden from your eyes and one day the promised day will come.

Then he explains further that even though if you go to Makkah in the time of ramadhan you will be able to end your fast. But what if the table of food is raised and you will not be able to end your fast.Something has to be thought about isn't it.As he questioned this all my thoughts came to still position. As I listened to him with an empty head.He then proclaims that in such situation we should have at least two dates in our pocket so that we can end our fast.

“So woe the worshippers who are neglectful of their prayers.” (Al-Maun, 107/4-5)
